3rd February 2015 - Biomass for heating has the potential to play a huge role in meeting decarbonisation targets in the UK beyond the UK’s 2020 renewables target and yet the UK Government’s existing bioenergy and heat strategy portrays a limited role.

This event will explore the forces behind a greater role for biomass heating including growing adoption (including the RHI) against falling costs, appropriate market applications taking into consideration the UK’s housing stock, the energy system benefits of a portfolio of heating systems, improved and improving sustainability standards, and technology innovation for biomass heating.
